Fritz Ostermayer, born in 1956, studied Theatre Science and Electroacoustic Music. He has a long-lasting experience as music and culture journalist (Der Standard, Profil, Falter). Since 1981 he is editor at the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Association) and creates the programmes „Musicbox“, „Kunstradio“, „Diagonal“, „FM4-Im Sumpf“. As an author he poaches through the zones of Pataphysik, OULIPO, and kitsch-affine text production.
As a musician he worked with Der Scheitel, Neigungsgruppe Sex, Gewalt und gute Laune, The Very Pleasure, John Giorno, Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Noel Akchote, Red, and Duran Duran Duran etc.
As a performer and curator he worked together with Bill Fontana, Clegg & Goodman, Jörg Schlick, Medlar Lucan, Durian Gray, Paul Renner, Grissemann und Stermann a. o.
Weirdly enough he is also a part-time director (at Schauspielhaus Graz) and emergency-choreographer (Tanzquartier Vienna and Donaufestival Krems). Shortly: he tampers with what ever he is let to.
