Ruth Biller is a trained circus artist and has been working as a freelance artist since 2011. In addition to engagements such as at the Niederösterreichisches Landestheater, the Salzburg Festival or the Flowmotion Dance Company, she produces narrative circus pieces with her company Momomento. Ruth Biller graduated with a state degree in acrobatics and artistry in Berlin in 2011. Since then, she has been working professionally as a freelance artist and dancer at home and abroad. In 2014 she won the jury prize for foot juggling at Flesh Dance in the Tanzquartier Wien. From 2014 to 2016 she was part of the Flowmotion Dance Company. In 2016 she founded the association Momomento, with which she created the solo circus theatre piece Marie hängt in der Luft in cooperation with Dschungel Wien and funded by the federal government. In 2017 she opened the Lower Austrian Provincial Exhibition with Sabine Parzer. In 2017 and 2018 Ruth performed at the Niederösterreichisches Landestheater. In 2018 she was employed as a performer in The Magic Flute at the Salzburg Festival. In the autumn of 2018, she created Momomento, an in-house production of LUST-VOLL, funded by the federal and provincial governments, followed by the 2019 production of Debris, funded by the federal and city governments. Between 2019 and 2021, she acted in various film productions. In your face, the latest federally, state and city funded Momomento production, had its preview in Norway in summer 2021 and its Vienna premiere in autumn 2021.
