After more than two years of cultural creation under the sign of the pandemic, creative ways of raising funds in addition to public funding are more in demand than ever. Tailor-made fundraising campaigns, however, are not yet a matter of course, even though there is a great willingness among the population to donate to art and culture. In order to bring the most innovative and successful fundraising and sponsoring activities of the Austrian cultural sector into the spotlight, the Fundraising Association Austria presented the Cultural Fundraising Awards in Vienna for the first time on 28 April 2022.
The "Best Corporate Partnership" award for particularly successful cooperation between cultural institutions and companies went to ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival for the partnership with Renault Austria established together with mayr & more in 2019 under the motto "Why you should actually dance the Twingo". In line with the company's strategy, the Renault Twingo was associated with the festival as a small and agile city runabout, whose team translated the model's central USPs into contemporary dance in a unique campaign. The result: a creatively designed video that could be seen on the social media channels of ImPulsTanz and Renault as well as on the façade of the MuseumsQuartier.
The award jury explained their decision as follows: "A contemporary ideal case of sponsorship is a partnership that focuses on what connects and fuels shared creativity. Renault and the ImPulsTanz Festival have made just such an artistically excellent cooperation a reality. Both brands could be promoted sustainably and culture financed at the same time."
