How do these four dancers bring a club setting to the stage of a theatre? In a truly mistressfully fashion and with a great deal of sensitivity for their cause! Which, incidentally, is house dance: the enjoyment of freedom in a safe, nonjudgemental space, ecstasy in the early morning to pulsating rhythms. Inspired by the African-American and LGBTIQ+ communities, this intense dance piece draws the audience deep into the house culture that emerged in Chicago and New York City in the early 1980s. Underground resistance!
