A polyphony of pulsating bodies, guided and carried by Tomas Furey’s transcendental, energetic music, unfolds a ritual that is as enjoyable as it is hypnotic. This is the trio Dog Rising by Canadian musician, choreographer, dancer and actor Clara Furey, who is also one of this year’s danceWEB mentors at ImPulsTanz. Three bodies move to the rhythm and in loop-like detachment as if in a heaven of cosmic eroticism, reflecting the life cycle of matter with their fluid dynamics. They dance an artistic journey of exploration through physical phenomena, in which sound vibrations flow through flesh, organs and bones, and put the body into a state that oscillates between mechanical and ostensibly provocative gestures.
