ImPulsTanz has been promoting the dialogue between dance and the visual arts since 2013. To this end, the festival has initiated cooperations with mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, Leopold Museum, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Weltmuseum Wien, Belvedere 21 and the Vienna Secession, among others. In previous years, artists such as Eszter Salamon, Xavier Le Roy, Simone Aughterlony, Philipp Gehmacher, Ivo Dimchev, and Tino Sehgal adapted existing pieces; or developed new ones especially for the museum space, like Peaches & Keith Hennessy, Akemi Takeya, Doris Uhlich, Amanda Piña or Liquid Loft.
In 2023, ImPulsTanz will be a guest for the first time at Heidi Horten Collection and Künstlerhaus Factory, in addition to mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien and Leopold Museum, with works by Elizabeth Ward, Harald Beharie, Keith Hennessy & Ishmael Houston-Jones, toxic dreams, Mathilde Monnier, Lisa Hinterreithner and many more.
