"Two Discussions of an Anterior Event" "Skin Mitten" was the title New York choreographer Jennifer Lacey gave to one of her earlier works in which she engaged with not quite conventional representations of femininity. That was in 1995. A decade later the acclaimed artist (who in the meantime now lives in Paris) picks up the piece once again and reflects on the video document and its contents in an ironic live performance "Two Discussions of an Anterior Event." The work shows, with captivating clarity, the gap between an event, its documentation and the presentation of its recording.
