In 2012, Alix Eynaudi und Mark Lorimer made a stir with their work Monique, turning Bondage practices into choreographic instructions: SM meets action art meets contact improvisation meets les ballets russes. And now: the museum version.

International and Vienna based dance and performance artists take a fresh glance on the concept and the ideas of actionism and related performance art from the 1960ies and 70ies. In the performance series Redefining Action(ism), a cooperation between ImPulsTanz and mumok, they develop actions, interventions, performances in and for mumok’s current exhibition My body is the event. Viennese Actionism and International Performance.
