At night, when the children are asleep, the time arrives for the creatures of darkness. They start their dance in a space ruled by the gloomiest of black: an “enlightened absence of light” in a “stillness that wells up from a screaming abyss.” With Natten, Mårten Spångberg releases a dance of horror and for this trip into the deepest darkness no night is long enough. This is neither psycho trip nor splatter show, but a plunge into the endless expanse of the night – along with nine dancers who guide through abstract eternity and enigmatic beauty.
