Following the acclaimed productions VESSEL and Planet [wanderer], Mist is Damien Jalet’s third collaboration with Japanese artist Kohei Nawa. This time they have teamed up with the Iranian filmmaker Rahi Rezvani – who has already worked with greats such as Marina Abramović – and created an incomparably vivid visual world in which the mysticism of the intangible, the ephemeral takes on a haptic form in the bodies of the performers of the Nederlands Dans Theater. After the film, Damien Jalet presents vessel/mist/ planet [wanderer]: Photos and interviews allow an even deeper insight into a trilogy that is dedicated in a breathtakingly beautiful way to the most primal travails of being human.
