Who is teaching this summer?

The list of ImPulsTanz 2024 workshop teachers is now online! We hope you enjoy scrolling and browsing, writing your wish lists and dreaming of summer in Vienna. From 24 April, the more than 250 workshops and research projects – which will take place at Arsenal again this year – can be booked. We are looking forward to many new faces this year, including Aisha Comissiong, Dance Contest winner Farah Deen, Niall Jones, Michaela Kratky, Jr Maddripp, RubberLegz, nora chipaumire and Sophia Rodríguez. Don't worry, your all-time favorites will of course also be back. Check it out now!

ImPulsTanz goes Italy – again!

The ImPulsTanz Country Retreats return to picturesque Umbria in 2024! In May and from August to October, the dance and health retreats will take place at the Tenuta di Poggiolame estate run by ImPulsTanz instructor Kerstin Kussmaul. Internationally renowned artists such as Terence Lewis, Glenna Batson & Kerstin Kussmaul, Sri Louise, Defne Erdur and Shinichi Yova-Koga each teach a week of dance and bodywork – every level is welcome. The retreat offers four hours of movement practice every day and a day off to explore the enchanting Umbrian countryside or to simply relax under the Italian sun.

More than 130 internationally renowned teachers and choreographers share their knowledge in over 200 workshops and research projects. Courses ranging from Afro-Fusion and Butoh to HipHop and club styles to repertory and contemporary dance are open to beginners, advanced dancers and professionals.

The complete workshop programme will be available online and open for booking on 24 April.

PROGRAMME SEGMENTS

Workshops

The more than 200 workshops are aimed at beginners and professionals alike, comprising either one training unit daily from Monday to Friday or two on Saturdays and Sundays.

Shake the Break

The workshops at Dschungel Wien invite children and teenagers from 3.5 to 18 years to dance and act.

Research Projects

The research and process-oriented projects are aimed specifically at professional dancers and artists. A maximum of 20 participants will be selected by the project management.

Open Doors

Most of the workshops are open for visitors to watch. Events, showings and jams can also be attended free of charge.

Public Moves

The dance classes are held daily, outdoors and free of charge. All levels and ages welcome!

Country Retreats

Time to dance and live together: Between August and October, ImPulsTanz invites you, together with Artis Umbria, to unique workshops in Italy.

Pro Scene

ImPulsTanz offers special education and training programmes to both professionals and beginners, as well as auditions. Symposia and residencies provide additional opportunities to exchange ideas.
