Improvisation in Performance be specific in an unpredictable situation In this workshop Jennifer Lacey, choreographer and performer based in Paris and New York, will consider improvisation as a compositional performance form. We will work on focusing our concentration and ability to be specific in an unpredictable situation. Exercises are designed to integrate physical and intellectual impulses, to encourage an intimate way of paying attention to others and to develop a physical sense of time and space. There is an emphasis on developing a dialogue between internal and external focus, between individual desires and group dynamics. We will welcome leisure and discomfort with equality.
