A fusion of Ballet, Modern, African, William explores the wide range of sacred to the mundane movements. Thereby, participants get to explore how movement stimulates emotions. Blending a wide range of movement concepts from Graham, Limòn, Cunningham, and Ballet, his contemporary class focuses on artistry with musicality.
Starting with a warm-up of spinal articulations, rhythmic and percussive, across the floor, fall, and recovery, directional shifts, speed, and physical agility. This is a physical class. Culminating with William’s choreography, participants learn to integrate these movement principles in phrase work explored at the end.
All levels of dance experience are welcome. Some understanding of Classical and Modern dance, and spatial awareness is useful.
