In his drum workshop, Ibou Ba introduces his participants to the traditional and diverse polyrhythms of Senegal and to the sounds and playing techniques of musical improvisation. He trains the ear and teaches simple and more complex African rhythms played with both hands or with one hand and a stick (Sabar). The course is building up, dynamics and energy develop gradually in the interaction in the group. Suitable for beginners and advanced students alike, Ibou Ba caters to the individual skills and rhythmic talent of the participants.
